A scientific study by the human-Environment Research Lab has demonstrated that contact with nature may actually help reduce the incidence of aggression and violence in inner-city neighbourhoods. According to this study, levels of aggression were significantly lower among people who had some kind of nature outside of their apartments versus those who didn’t. The impact of the physical environment on human aggression has been well-established – crowding, high temperatures, and noise have all been linked to violent behavior. Some scientists believe that it’s because people living under these conditions suffer from something called chronic mental fatigue, which can make them inattentive, irritable, and impulsive – all of which can be linked to aggressive behavior. Exposure to green spaces, it has been shown, can mitigate the harmful effects of chronic mental fatigue, reducing aggressive behavior in the process.

What makes us happy? Is it the smile of a baby, the laughter of your loved one, the wonderful meal you just relished, a beautiful sunset, a blooming rose bud.
We are happy to share our initiative of giving happiness through things that perhaps has outlived its purpose for us. Say an old washing machine, an old TV, an old two wheeler, and so on.
You could get some money in return for these if you sell them, but consider the joy and happiness that you can.
FOOD FOR HAPPINESS
Happiness is sharing good food.
Ancient scriptures in India tell us that we become what we eat. We also hear that the way to the heart of anyones is easier through his/her stomach. Food brings us joy. Food sustains us. Food nourishes us and help us grow.
Think about how if we were to come together and make an effort to feed one village which is mal nourished. Imagine the happy faces and the joy of nourishments we can bring. Not just once. But adopt this village and then make it self sustaining till they can earn their living and live well.
Her innocenct smile as a daughter brought us so much joy, Her warmth as a friend helped us overcome many strife, Her care as a sister, her unconditional love as a mother, Her passion as lover, her many avatars have always lifted us above our mundane lives many many times.
Yet today we need to reinforce this in our sons, our future generations on how to respect and treat women. Tell them to treat their wifes as they would like their father their mother, tell them to treat their wifes like the brother in law would treat their sister and so on.
Collectively this is a great opportunity for us to take a pledge and make this happen. It is indeed a very small gesture, the ripple if you will. From there on the energy takes its own course.
